I have been an avid reader of Mr. R. O. Lane for awhile, but this one, as my Mama use to say, "takes the cake!" Dred is an excellent character selection, and Mr. Lane definitely uses his so well from beginning to end. Definitely five stars worthy. Too, all characters were perfectly selected throughout this masterpiece of old American western folklore adventures. Too, Abby and Emma were definitely befitting of their roles, also. Mr. Lane, as always perfected the storylines successfully for each and every individual's individual's assigned role! This is one of the most heartwarming experiences I have had the opportunity to read, and most of the stories were family-friendly oriented adventures, and the family camaraderie is definitely enough to pacify the most demanding reader's greatest expectations. Each exciting episode is definitely entertainment personified! Definitely recommend this compassionate, and heartwarming, masterpiece to everyone, regardless of your reading preference. There is ongoing adventures from beginning to end, and the excitement never ceases. I’ve read several of Mr. Lane’s books including all of his Marshall Will Fain books and have enjoyed them all. He is as good as I’ve read. Hoping you enjoy them as well.

From the beginning, the reader is eager to continue to see what happens next. Every reader be outraged by the treatment the little heroine is subjected to. The impossible events could not happen but , hey, it is story not a biography. The reader puts him /her self in the hero's position and lives with him vicariously. A story of life is sometimes not as pleasant as we would like it however it was told well here a little life with a rough-and-tumble starting into a pleasant sharing woman with a few bumps along the way thanks for the read, N

Very vivid description of the unique circumstances that bring these three together and their determination to protect one another. The author takes you from situations of terrible circumstances to almost impossible rescues and determination to protect one another.

Finally a story line out of the ordinary, but still from my favorite time period. I actually read this one not wanting to put it down unless I just had to do something else. Everyone has their own preferences, but I would guess most folks would enjoy spending some quiet time with this book.

What a great story this is. R O is an exciting writer and have the action, love and suspense needed to keep you interested from page one to the end. Ready for your next book. Please hurry
