I haven't completely cracked into these yet, but it's very apparent that it's a fantastic deal for Monogatari fans. Highly recommended that you buy this if you're buying into the series for the first time.The books and the case have beautiful covers, and the translation appears to be pretty great. All around great job to the team bringing these over!

I've never read the Monogatari novels before but after hearing so many great reviews about the series, decided to grab this box set while it was on sale. Aesthetically the books are top quality - Vofan's artwork is incredible and the box case itself is both hard and heavy. There's also an extra card inside that confirms only 5,000 of these sets were printed. It's clear that the utmost care was put into publishing this set.Whether you're a longtime Monogatari fan or looking to get into the series for the first time, this is a worthwhile purchase.One word of warning: Amazon's "prime shipping" was a disgrace. They put the product inside a box that was far bigger than necessary with no packing material inside to keep it safe. In other words, the product will have tumbled all over the box while it was in transit. Very luckily, the Monogatari box is so thick and sturdy that there was no damage to my copy upon arrival. But if you're definitely planning to buy this set or request it as a holiday gift, I highly recommend buying from Right Stuf Anime or Barnes & Noble instead, both of whom are known for better shipping practices than Amazon.

Sadly, the only compliment I'm able to give this is the stylish box art by Vofan. Everything else is rubbish. The localization isn't completely unreadable, but in a literary piece where witty dialogue is more than half the fun, a proper editing job is a must! Frankly, there are too many instances where the English comes off as stale and awkward. Compared to work Crunchyroll has done on the anime, I was completely let down with the treatment these novels got. I was so excited to see that this had been worked on professionally, too.I haven't purchased anything published by Vertical Inc. until now. And based on my experience with this work, I'll probably never do it again unless someone convinces me they've improved. Shame to see this happen to such a popular franchise.Maybe I'll give these books another try once I've learned Japanese. :/

This is one of the cleanest pieces of work I have ever laid my eyes on, I can not recommend this enough for new comers wanting to get into the monogatari series at such a great price

First time getting into the series at all, so have yet to read it. But the quality of the box is wonderful with a great artsyle. The books themselves are also mint and feel great to hold. It even came with a little card that shows the whole picture that's on the box.
